Because the prostate surrounds the urethra just below the bladder, enlargement of the prostate narrows the urethra and obstructs the flow of urine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result, various symptoms such as decreased urine flow, a feeling of incomplete emptying, and nighttime urination may occur. diagnosed?  \nFor an accurate diagnosis, the following tests are performed step by step.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2714 Medical interview and urination questionnaire (IPSS)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The severity of symptoms and the level of daily discomfort are assessed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2714 Digital rectal examination (DRE)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The prostate is examined for its size, firmness, and the presence of any nodules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2714 PSA blood test<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is essential for distinguishing benign conditions from prostate cancer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2714 Prostate and bladder ultrasound<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The prostate size, residual urine volume, and bladder wall thickness are evaluated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2714 Uroflowmetry (urine flow test)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The urine flow rate is measured to determine the degree of urethral obstruction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia generally progresses from medication to surgical
